Fiesta time! This care package theme is perfect for Cinco De Mayo or if you plan on sending some fiesta-style items: chips, salsa, tabasco sauce, etc.
First I used my silhouette cameo to cut out all of the elements:
-candy
-pennant banner
-pinata and other decorative elements
-sentiments
For the side shaker flaps, I cut out a frame out of my cardstock. Then I attached acetate with this strong tape. Then I attached foam tape to build a sort-of dam for for shaker elements. I set that aside and worked on my shaker base.
I attached the banners then some candy elements to the base. Then I piled the rest of the candies and sequins.
I then went back to my shaker window and peeled off the back of the foam tape and carefully adhered the window on top on the base.
For the top flap, I had cut out elements such as a piñata, sombrero and a chile. I decided to make the piñata interactive by just attaching that with some twine instead of gluing it down.
Then I adhered my sentiment with this strong glue and this care package is hot! Hot! Hot! Ole!
