Here Are The Best Things To Do In Camp Pendleton, California
Theme Parks
Camp Pendleton is in a great location. There’s Legoland, San Diego Zoo, Disneyland, Universal Studio and Six Flags within a few hours drive of Camp Pendleton. As far as military discounts, your local MWR/MCCS ticket office should get you some great deals.
Shopping
Another neighboring town is the town of Carlsbad. Carlsbad village offers a lot cute shops and of course, there are also the Carlsbad Premium Outlets to get some great deals.
Marine Memorial Golf Course
This golf course is both challenging enough for seasoned golfers but suitable for beginners as well. Known for its bunker shaping and other neat innovations for golf course construction, you’ll find this location is perfect to enjoy a day of golf with friends. With a natural grass driving range, chipping areas and a practice putting green, this is a must-visit in Camp Pendleton.
Beaches
Camp Pendleton is driving distance to different beaches. There’s also Del Mar Marina On Camp Pendleton where there are beach rentals and classes.

Pendleton Paintball Park
Eight recreational fields and four-field tournament park is spread across 30 acres where you can enjoy some paintball adventures. There are paintball guns for beginners and this location offers four styles of paintball fun. Paintball for ages 10 and up, Paintball Lite for ages 8-12, Airsoft for ages 10 and up and Splatmaster for ages 6-9. Please note this location is for ages 6 and up only.

Wine Tasting
If you’re over 21, enjoy some wine tasting in Temecula valley. There are tours, spas, and great dining as well. There’s even a hot air balloon ride.
Leatherneck Lanes
Enjoy a game of bowling, pool, arcades, live sports on TV or dine out at The Grill here in Camp Pendleton, CA. The cool thing about this location is that they also offer summer movie specials so you can take the kids out to watch a movie here without breaking the bank. Hiking
Camp Pendleton offers different hikes for different levels. Some have amazing views as well as offer you a great workout.
Stepp Stables
Enjoy some horseback riding, this location offers assistance for all levels such as Western, English, jumping and dressage lessons for ages 7 and older. You can schedule private lessons for ages 4-6 as well, just call to set an appointment. You can enjoy boarding, lessons and trail rides via horseback on miles of scenic trails here at the stables in Camp Pendleton, CA.
Oceanside
Oceanside is a neighboring town with lots of things to offer. There is the Sunset Market, the beach, the boardwalk, even a few casinos.
