Here Are The Best Things To Do In Fort Carson, Colorado

Cave of the Winds
This prehistoric natural wonder is a sight to see. One of the highest caves in the world that’s open to the public. These caverns started opening over 200 million years ago but opened to the public in 1881. Go on the Discovery and Lantern Tours to see many formations to include stalactites and stalagmites.
Colorado Springs World Arena
Schedule a date night to enjoy a concert at this location. You can visit their website to learn more about the sporting and concert events coming up here. This is also home to the Ice Hall where U.S. Figure Skaters train for the U.S. Olympics.

Pikes Peak
Enjoy a hike on this peak where you can enjoy a three-hour trip on the railway to Pikes Peak Summit. This scenic tour is a wonderful way to wind down and take in the views of this beautiful area. There is a 19-mile auto road as well if you’d rather go up the peak at your own pace.
North Pole Santa’s Workshop
Offering everything Christmas themed, this amusement park is perfect for the family. From carols to shows, activities and even Santa this workshop is a fun place to visit while in Fort Carson, CO. The Candy Cane Coaster, Peppermint Train, and Santa’s train are just a few fun rides at this amusement park.
Pioneers Museum
This museum offers a peek into Colorado Springs history. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time as you see furniture, clothing, tools, firearms and more from years past. The exhibits do rotate, so you’re sure to find something new with each visit.
Royal Gorge
Check out the stunning views at Royal Gorge Park and Bridge. While this park was 90 percent destroyed in 2013, the bridge only suffered minor damage. You can still enjoy a guided tour here as well as an aerial tram and other attractions.

Will Rogers Shrine and The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Check out the zoo that’s well known for its small size. Originally these pets found here were that of Spencer Penrose who stored his pets at the Broadway Hotel but moved them to this location in 1926. This location offers a breathtaking view of the area as well as many animals to enjoy.
