Galaxies are all the rage right now in the creative world. Instead of decorating with good old-fashioned pun, I went with a song lyric. You ever noticed how stars at night look like little diamonds?
I haven’t mastered how to watercolor galaxies yet, so I took a shortcut and purchased some 12 x 12 galaxy cardstock of a galaxy to use as my background.
I used my silhouette cameo to cut out the lettering in glitter cardstock. Then, I wanted to incorporate diamonds.
However, I knew the cameo doesn’t always do too well with intricate cuts so I went to my manual die cutting machine, my Sizzix Big Shot. I had these diamonds dies and ran them through the machine using the scraps of the glitter cardstock from the lettering. I then adhered them to the galaxy cardstock and I was done.
