Peeps are a staple of Easter and spring season. For some people, the jury is still deliberating the taste and texture of these marshmallow snacks. I think everyone can agree on how cute they are though.
With my silhouette cameo, I cut out some peep shapes in different colored cardstock.
I wanted to make these peeps stand out so I heat embossed them for some added dimension and shine. I try to avoid using glitter because it just gets everywhere in the care package. I wanted shininess without the mess.
All you need for heat embossing is embossing powder, versamark ink, and a heat gun.
Then I had these nuvo crystal drops in black. It’s basically like adding 3D enamel beads to any project. I knew that this would be perfect for adding the peeps’ eyes and nose.
For the sentiment, I did some negative fill with the flap (meaning I adhered the color on the back side of the flap with the words cut out). And then I was done.
Happy Easter!
