Chrysler Museum of Art
This museum offers a view of over 30,000 works of art that span over 5,000 years. You’ll get a little taste of history and beauty of art here. There’s also an educational facility that supports artists who work in the glassblowing industry and all that side of art entails.
Battleship Wisconsin
Explore one of the largest and last battleships ever built by the U.S. Navy. You can walk the decks and with a self-guided tour or for a small fee you can sign up to get a guided tour of this magnificent battleship that earned five battles stars during WW II.
Push Comedy Theater
This theater is a great place to go to get a little laughter in on date night. They feature both local and national comedians. There is standup comedy on Friday and Saturday. The cool thing about this theater is that you can even take courses during the week to learn various types of comedy.
Virginia Zoo
This 53-acre zoo offers a wide range of animals to enjoy and learn about. You’ll be able to witness animals from Asia to North American and everywhere in between. They have reptile exhibits and even farm animals for you to enjoy your day at the zoo.
Norfolk Botanical Garden
This 155-acre botanical garden offers a beautiful selection of flowers to enjoy from over 40 themed gardens to plants from a specific region. This is a peaceful place to visit and enjoy getting some ideas for your own flower gardens at home.
Nauticus
There is so much fun to be had here where you can enjoy the horseshoe crab cove and get a hands-on experience with these crabs. You can also touch sharks and enjoy learning lots about ships and the Navy. The Wisconsin Battleship is near this location as well.
Victory Rover Naval Base Cruises
Take a 2-hour narrated naval base cruise tour that has a Captain who knows how to narrate a cruise providing comedian and much information along the trip. You get to enjoy the sights of one of the world’s busiest seaports aboard this Naval Fleet.
