The movie “Up” from Disney/Pixar is one of my all time favorites. It’s about love, friendship, relationships. It was one of the first movies that my husband and I watched together when we were dating and I thought it would make a perfect care package for him.
For my the base of the care package flaps, I used some some 12×12 cardstock.
To start off, I created some balloons in my silhouette studio software. I then cut them out with my silhouette cameo. (BTW, paper crafting is a helluva a lot easier with this machine)
I then chose about 7-8 different pieces of colored cardstock from a pack I got at Michael’s. Then I just sent the same cut file over and over. In less that 5 minutes, all of the balloons were cut. Yay for efficiency!
Then I adhered the balloons with a glue stick and layered them to make the balloon bunch. I used the cameo to make the “Adventure Book” cover cut and then glued those on.
For the bottom flap, I drew a replication of the “Up” house in Adobe Illustrator as well as the mailbox, then used the print and cut feature on the cameo to get the pieces. I stamped with watermark ink and embossed the “You’re My Favorite Adventure” quote with black embossing powder and my heat gun. The alphabet stamps are from Michael’s.
I then personalized with a photos, drew some strings on the balloon bunch and the care package is complete.
